One of the very first big purchases we made after we closed on our home was a new, bigger bed. For a small dog, Evie takes up a surprising amount of space in bed (fellow dog owners, you will understand this) so upgrading to a king size really improved everyone’s sleep.
We went with the Mod Upholstered Platform Bed fromWest Elm, which set the tone for the room. It’s pretty low to the ground so it’s easy for Evie to climb in (yeah… judge us).
After spending a lot of time researching mattress options, we went with the Leesa Sapira mattress and it is absolutely the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. The perfect combination of softness and support.
We got our sheets from Brooklinen and they are lovely. I would definitely order from there again. The nightstands were from our previous apartment, ordered from Amazon, and the bench at the foot of the bed was a HomeGoods find! Luckily we are minimalists when it comes to bedroom furniture because there isn’t room for much else.
The two final touches that made the room feel complete were the runner from Rejuvenation and the art that we had framed by Framebridge. The room makes me so happy now! A peaceful and refreshing little nest.
