Colorado Road Trip

We road-tripped to Colorado with a stop along with way to see family outside of Des Moines. Once we got to Colorado, we stayed in Boulder. I had never been before and it seems like such a cool place to live, with so many nature adventure options within an hour or two.

It was great seeing our friends Yuri & Ian and spending time with my cousin Alex who lives in Denver. Weirdly enough, Yuri and Alex work in the same office building. We only discovered that a few months before our visit, and totally by coincidence. The world is small and funny like that.

We intentionally kept our trip pretty plan-free, as a nice break from our very scheduled lives, and were able to fit in an awesome hike on the Rainbow Lakes Trail in Nederland, a couple cute coffee shops, and plenty of amazing mountain views from places like Eldorado Canyon State Park and Flagstaff Mountain. Oh!! And the true crime fan in me couldn’t leave Boulder without driving by the JonBenet Ramsey house.
